Masterclass Non-Identity – Breaking stereotypes

The Masterclass ‘The Power of Non-Identity’ is for an international audience. It was launched in Istanbul, Turkey in 2010 during celebration of Cultural Capital of Europe.

This masterclass was given in the context of the multi-day conference ‘Breaking the Stereotypes’ under the umbrella of Istanbul Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010. The challenge was to experience the concept of diversity in different countries. One specific culture may experience and percieve diversity in another way than others.

Together with co-trainer Herbert Minderhoud our focus is on breaking stereotypical thinking on the concept Identity. We invited people to change perspectives, namely by looking at the contrary, the concept of Non-Identity.
